Job Description
Job Title: Tooling & Inventory LeadPosition Summary Oversees daily operations of a tooling and support area within a manufacturing environment. Responsible for managing tooling inventory, supporting production teams, maintaining equipment, and coordinating workflow to ensure operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily activities related to tooling, equipment, and material support.
Maintain and track inventory levels; perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
Receive, inspect, store, and issue tools, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure tooling is properly maintained, labeled, and safe for use.
Troubleshoot, repair, and service tools and shop equipment.
Support production teams with tooling setup and readiness.
Monitor inventory usage and initiate replenishment as needed.
Work with vendors to order and track tooling and supplies.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area.
Use systems or software to track inventory, orders, and schedules.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2–3+ years of experience in tooling, machining, or manufacturing support.
Strong knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Basic computer and inventory system experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior leadership or team coordination experience.
Technical training related to machining or tooling.
Experience supporting CNC or production environments.
