We are looking to fill a Sorter Associate position for a company located in Portland, PA. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, willing to learn, and looking for advancement opportunities to join a fast-paced production team.
Responsibilities of the Sorter Associate:
· Sort plastic materials.· Remove contaminants such as metals, non-plastic waste, or foreign objects.· Identify and separate recyclable materials according to company and industry standards.· Maintain a clean and organized work area.· Monitor the sorting line to prevent jams or blockages.· Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.· Follow safety protocols and always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).· Assist with other tasks, such as baling, loading, or facility clean-up.
Benefits of the Sorter Associate:
· 2 week rotational 2*2*3 schedule: Sun, Wed, Thurs, and Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat.· Pay rate $16.50 hr to start· Medical / Dental/ Vision.
Requirements of the Sorter Associate:
· Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, 7:00 am-7:00 pm.· Lift, push or pull 50 pounds· Standing for an extended period of time· Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach· Work in both hot and cold conditions· Must be able to read and write English· Must be able to pass a drug test· Previous manufacturing experience
