Receptionist
Regional optometry and eye care practice
Our growing regional optometry practice is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting the overall operations of our practice.
Job Summary:
In this Receptionist position, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients, managing schedules and appointments, and providing general administrative support to our optometry team. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service will be essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records with accuracy
- Provide information about our services and answer patient inquiries
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
Working Conditions:
This position is based in our retail/customer-facing optometry practice, with standard business hours. The work environment may involve some light physical demands, such as standing for extended periods and light lifting.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a temporary "Temp to Hire" position with a target pay rate of $12 per hour. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to transition to a permanent, full-time role with our practice.
