Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality and food safety standards are consistently met within a fast-paced production bakery. This role includes inspecting production lines, sampling and testing ingredients and finished goods, monitoring sanitation practices, and maintaining accurate documentation. The technician works closely with production teams to support compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and regulatory requirements while helping identify and resolve quality issues. Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of experience in QA/QC (food industry preferred)
Knowledge of GMPs and regulatory guidelines
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be comfortable working around common food allergens (milk, eggs, nuts, wheat, soy, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Perform line inspections following GMP and SOP standards
Collect and test samples of raw materials and finished products
Conduct sanitation checks and environmental swabbing
Review documentation and test results to ensure product quality
Approve or reject materials based on quality standards
Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts
Support production operations and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
