Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join a busy specialty medical practice. This position supports physicians and clinical staff with patient care, diagnostic testing, procedures, documentation, and daily clinic operations.Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations, testing, and procedures
Obtain and document patient histories and clinical information
Perform ophthalmic testing and diagnostic imaging
Assist physicians with in-office procedures
Accurately document information in the EMR system
Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and procedure rooms
Sterilize instruments and maintain appropriate supplies
Follow HIPAA, OSHA, safety, and infection-control procedures
Assist with general clinic workflow and other duties as needed
Travel between locations may occasionally be required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous ophthalmology experience preferred
Experience with ophthalmic testing and imaging is a plus
Ophthalmic certification preferred but not required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
