Job Description
Job Title: Industrial Painter AssistantPosition Summary Supports coating and finishing operations by preparing materials, assisting with paint mixing and application, and maintaining equipment and work areas. Works under direction of experienced painters to ensure quality, safety, and production standards are met.Key Responsibilities
Assist with surface preparation including sanding, grinding, masking, cleaning, and filling imperfections.
Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications, including measuring and combining materials.
Support application of coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
Set up, clean, and maintain paint equipment, tools, and work areas.
Pull, stage, and verify materials prior to painting operations.
Inspect parts for surface defects and assist in correcting issues before and after coating.
Load/unload parts and assist with movement through paint processes.
Follow all safety procedures related to PPE, chemicals, and equipment handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint booth and surrounding areas.
Assist in troubleshooting paint defects or process issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic understanding of hand tools and shop equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing paint environments.
Familiarity with spray guns, paint systems, or coating processes.
Experience with surface prep and finishing techniques.

Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs regularly
Ability to work in confined or ventilated paint areas
