Job Description
Action Group Staffing is seeking a dedicated and disciplined Industrial Maintenance Technician/Mechanic for a client located in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience in all aspects of industrial maintenance and understand the demands of a fast-paced production environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Essential Duties
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Install, assemble, and test new equipment and machinery.
Repair or replace defective components, parts, and equipment.
Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain maintenance logs and repair records.
Operate hand tools, power tools, welders, and maintenance equipment safely.
Maintain facility systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, doors, and general building repairs.
Assist with equipment setup, relocation, and facility improvement projects.
Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Communicate equipment issues and repair status to supervisors and operations.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Assist with inventory management of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Team Leadership Responsibilities
Lead, assign, and prioritize daily maintenance activities.
Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and contractors.
Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime.
Train and mentor maintenance team members on equipment, procedures, and safety practices.
Monitor work quality and ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time.
Assist in evaluating employee performance by providing coaching and development.
Coordinate with Operations to prioritize repairs and support production goals.
Ensure maintenance work orders are completed, documented, and closed in a timely manner.
Monitor maintenance inventory and coordinate ordering of parts and supplies.
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and team efficiency.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Assist with planning and executing facility upgrades, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects.
Serve as the primary maintenance point of contact during equipment failures and emergency situations.
Perform other maintenance and leadership duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Arc welding and fabrication (MIG & Stick)
Hydraulic power units
Electrical troubleshooting (24V DC controls and 480V motor controls)
