Electrical Engineer – ManufacturingSalary: $95,000–$115,000Overview
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that support reliable and efficient manufacturing operations. This role provides technical leadership in electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, preventive maintenance development, and compliance with electrical safety standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain industrial electrical systems, equipment, and controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, control panels, lighting systems, transformers, and manufacturing machinery
  • Develop and improve the facility’s Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) to reduce downtime
  • Program, test, and maintain PLC and HMI systems for automation and control
  • Support electrical and controls-related process improvements and capital projects
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70, IEC, and IEEE standards
  • Prepare electrical schematics, technical documentation, and maintenance reports
  • Assist with procurement and management of electrical components and tools
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, and system integration
  • 5+ years of leadership or project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Proficient in PLC/HMI platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, control circuits, and safety practices
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with moderate noise
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine physical tasks as required
