Job Description
Electrical Engineer – ManufacturingSalary: $95,000–$115,000Overview The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that support reliable and efficient manufacturing operations. This role provides technical leadership in electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, preventive maintenance development, and compliance with electrical safety standards.Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain industrial electrical systems, equipment, and controls
Troubleshoot and repair motors, control panels, lighting systems, transformers, and manufacturing machinery
Develop and improve the facility’s Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) to reduce downtime
Program, test, and maintain PLC and HMI systems for automation and control
Support electrical and controls-related process improvements and capital projects
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe, efficient operations
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70, IEC, and IEEE standards
Prepare electrical schematics, technical documentation, and maintenance reports
Assist with procurement and management of electrical components and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, and system integration
5+ years of leadership or project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
Proficient in PLC/HMI platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, control circuits, and safety practices
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine physical tasks as required
