Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Plant Manager (with indirect corporate maintenance oversight)
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Status: Full Time, Temp to HirePay: $26-$29 an hour DOEPosition OverviewThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting safety programs, and assisting with equipment-related projects to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance on production machinery (presses, rewind machines, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including PLC-supported equipment.
  • Repair and maintain components such as bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, compressors, and drive systems.
  • Document maintenance activities, downtime causes, and equipment performance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and keep work areas organized.
  • Support safety, environmental, and OSHA compliance procedures.
  • Assist with equipment and facility improvement projects as needed.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Electrical knowledge required; electrical certifications a plus.
  • Project coordination experience is helpful.
Skills
  • Understanding of PLCs and basic electrical systems.
  • Skilled with mechanical and pneumatic machinery and power tools.
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Able to follow safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, SOPs).
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office; able to learn maintenance software.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently (75 lbs with assistance).
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and working in production environments.
  • Exposure to noise and temperature variations.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening and comply with random drug testing.
