Job Description
Action Group Staffing is hiring Shredder Operators for a growing electronic recycling facility in the Dallas area. This is a hands-on position responsible for operating industrial shredding equipment that processes electronic materials for recycling and recovery. The ideal candidate has experience operating production or manufacturing equipment, works safely around machinery, and enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Electronics recycling facilities typically sort, dismantle, and feed materials into industrial shredders as part of the recycling process. Job Responsibilities
Safely operate industrial shredding equipment according to established procedures.
Feed electronic materials into shredding systems while maintaining a safe work area.
Monitor equipment performance and identify jams or operational issues.
Remove processed materials and stage commodities for the next phase of production.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Assist with sorting and preparing electronic equipment before shredding.
Maintain production goals while following all safety and environmental procedures.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris.
Assist other warehouse departments as operational needs require.
Qualifications
Previous experience operating production, manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse equipment preferred.
Experience with conveyors, balers, shredders, crushers, or similar industrial machinery is a plus.
Comfortable working around heavy industrial equipment.
Mechanically inclined with strong attention to safety.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
Comfortable performing repetitive physical work in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment
Non-climate-controlled warehouse.
Moderate to loud industrial noise.
Dust, vibration, and moving machinery are part of the daily work environment.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
Overtime may be available based on production needs.
