Job Title: General Material Handler – Heavy Dismantle Job Summary: The General Material Handler – Heavy Dismantle is responsible for sorting and dismantling electronic equipment and other recyclable materials as part of project-based operations. This role involves identifying different material types, following dismantling cutlines, and processing items according to established procedures. The position works under general supervision and must adhere to all safety standards and operational guidelines. This role may occasionally require working outdoors, depending on operational needs. Responsibilities & Daily Tasks: • Maintain and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. • Work under the general supervision of the Area Lead. • Sort and perform dismantling of electronic equipment/products, separating items by designated commodity. • Move pallets safely within the warehouse using pallet jacks. • Operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as balers and shredders. • Follow standard procedures and technical processes specific to the assigned work area. • May be reassigned to other departments or areas based on operational needs. Job Requirements & Qualifications: • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential. • Overtime may be offered as needed. • Willingness to travel to other sites as needed. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Bilingual is preferred. • Ability to read and understand basic work instructions. • Basic math proficiency. Education & Training: • High School Diploma or equivalent not required but preferred. Work Environment: • Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. • Noise levels are generally moderate. • Occasional outdoor work may be required, depending on project or operational needs. Physical Demands: • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds constantly, and 75 pounds occasionally with assistance. • Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical activities including walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching. • Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods during dismantling tasks. • Requires handling and moving large or heavy electronic components during disassembly. Travel Requirements: • Occasional travel may be required (0–10%).
