Metal Finishing Technician Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Starting Pay: $15-16/hour (DOE)
Action Group Staffing is seeking a dependable Metal Finishing Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing metal components for production by grinding, sanding, polishing, and removing surface imperfections. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality finished products, and works well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Grind, sand, and polish metal components to meet quality specifications.
Remove burrs, rough edges, weld splatter, and other surface imperfections.
Prepare metal parts for painting, coating, assembly, or final production.
Select and use appropriate abrasives, grinders, sanders, and finishing tools.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Perform minor repairs to surface defects as needed.
Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Requirements
Previous manufacturing or metal finishing experience preferred.
Experience using grinders, sanders, or other metal finishing equipment is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Compensation & Opportunity
Starting pay of $17.00–$18.00/hour, based on experience.
Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.
Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time employment after 520 hours.
