Electrical & Mechanical TechnicianPay: $33.43/hourSchedule: 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule (2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights)Position SummaryA leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has strong industrial maintenance experience and enjoys solving complex equipment issues.Essential Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain motors, electrical systems, instrumentation, robotic equipment, and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, maintenance manuals, and work orders.
  • Collect PLC input/output data to evaluate equipment performance and reliability.
  • Maintain robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Assist in implementing electrical safety programs and train employees on safe work practices.
  • Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of industrial maintenance experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field is a plus.
  • E&I certifications and manufacturing experience are highly preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
  • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial robotics preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
  • Reliable work history with the ability to work a rotating day/night schedule.
