Job Description

Brief Summary Description of Role: As the face of the HR department, this position serves as the knowledge source that
management and team members can go to for understanding anything regarding HR topics. This role also serves as the
administrator of all benefit programs including health and supplemental plans, vacation and other forms of leave, FMLA
and 401(k). The Administrator provides guidance to the payroll support specialist while ensuring timely and accurate
payroll processing via the ADP payroll platform.
Positions Reports to: Controller
Position Responsibilities:
• Employment applications: Process and maintain employment applications per company guidelines.
ï‚· Team member orientation/onboarding: Conduct orientation sessions for all new hires and assist them in
completing the new hire paperwork. Conduct all necessary employment verifications, e-verify checks, etc.
Maintain I-9 records per statutory guidelines.
ï‚· Personnel records: Organize and maintain personnel records. This includes new hire paperwork and all
documents related to the team member throughout his/her employment at Action Group.
• Benefits administration: Administer all benefit programs, which include health, supplemental benefit plans,
FMLA and other leave programs. Maintain supplemental benefit spreadsheet that includes active benefit
selections per team member, calculation of carrier premiums as well as team member contributions. Process all
billing reporting to our benefits provider. Lead open enrollment period and communicate any changes in
benefits to all team members. Assist team members with any questions regarding benefits.
• Union reporting: Process Union billing and request payment for Bricklayer’s Union.
ï‚· Payroll: Oversee prompt and precise processing of the weekly payroll for approximately 150 personnel via ADP
Workforce Now.
ï‚· HR related payroll tasks: Perform HR related payroll tasks such as regulatory compliance, unemployment claim
processing and defense, represent company at unemployment hearings, process child support orders,
garnishments, etc.
ï‚· Statutory/other reporting: Assist the Management team/Corporate Officers in preparing government required
reporting and responding to audit requests, such as a union audit or EEO-1 report.
ï‚· Employee interactions: Strong ability to handle sensitive team member interactions. Primary point of contact
for all team member questions/concerns and all HR related questions. Incident / claim investigations.
ï‚· Job descriptions: Ability to create job descriptions, as requested by management.
ï‚· Other projects: Complete additional projects as requested by management, such as job fair events, etc.
ï‚· Legal compliance: Ensure company is operating in compliance with labor laws. This includes making sure the
required labor posters are updated when necessary.
ï‚· Work with management in recruiting efforts. Assist in discipline and termination guidance.
ï‚· Other duties as assigned.

ï‚· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
ï‚· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
ï‚· Ability to update professional knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities.
ï‚· Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred.
ï‚· Fluently speak, read and write English.
ï‚· Verbal fluency in Spanish not required, but preferred.
ï‚· Authorized to work in the United States.
Education and Experience:
ï‚· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field of study.
ï‚· Two years of experience processing payroll.
ï‚· Three years of experience in HR administration – PHR or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
Physical Qualifications:
ï‚· Ability to move about the office and two OKC manufacturing plants.
ï‚· May be exposed to prolonged periods of sitting.
