Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver / Warehouse Associate to support both transportation and warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products while supporting daily warehouse activities. The role is approximately 50% driving/trailer switching and 50% warehouse operations. This position offers a balanced mix of local driving and hands-on warehouse work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day. Responsibilities of the CDL Driver/ Warehouse Associate:
Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Transport materials and products between local facilities and designated locations.
Load, unload, and secure materials for transportation.
Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and material handling.
Perform trailer switching and local deliveries, with most driving occurring within a short local radius.
Spend 50% of the time driving and switching trailers and 50% performing warehouse duties.
Most driving is local and typically within a 3-5 mile radius.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Complete transportation and shipping documentation accurately.
Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Perform additional warehouse or transportation duties as assigned.
Requirements of the CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Clean driving record.
Experience hauling and switching 48' and 53' trailers.
Minimum of 2 years of sit-down forklift experience.
Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics.
Experience using RF scanners for receiving, put-away, picking, transfers, and shipping.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, and customer service.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when required.
