Job Title: Service TechnicianAction Group Staffing is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair semi-trailers and related equipment, including box trucks, brakes, lights, seals, and general maintenance to meet DOT standards. This role also includes repairs to flooring, rub rails, doors, door trim, roofs, nose panels, and upper rails.Requirements:
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Team-oriented with the ability to work well with operations and staff
Certified Forklift Operator or ability to become certified
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Diesel engine experience a plus
Class A CDL preferred
DOT certification in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Pay: $25 per hour depending on experienceShift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures on vehicles and equipment
Troubleshoot and perform routine and corrective maintenance on tractors and trailers, including braking and hydraulic systems
Inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on customer vehicles and trailers
Use hand and power tools to repair or replace defective components
Perform welding, electrical, fabrication, sheet metal, and mechanical work as required
Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance files, including DOT compliance documentation
Safely operate tractor-trailer units within terminal premises and on roadways for testing or delivery
Prepare and maintain maintenance records in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety requirements
