Job Title: CAD Designer / Mechanical Drafter (AutoCAD, Inventor/SolidWorks) Location: Dallas, Tx 75237 Job Type: Full-Time Temp to Hire Department: Engineering / Design Reports To: Engineering Manager or Lead Designer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer with experience using AutoCAD and either Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks to join our engineering/design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for components, assemblies, and complete systems based on engineering specifications, sketches, and design input. Key Responsibilities: ● Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and/or SolidWorks ● Create and modify mechanical part and assembly drawings to support product design and manufacturing ● Collaborate with engineers and product developers to interpret design requirements and translate them into technical drawings ● Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and drawing packages ● Maintain drawing revision control and ensure documentation meets industry standards and internal protocols ● Participate in design reviews and recommend design improvements for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness ● Support prototyping, testing, and production processes as needed ● ● ● ● Qualifications: Required: ● Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) ● Experience with either Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks (minimum 1–3 years) ● Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes ● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications ● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work Soft Skills: ● Strong communication and collaboration skills ● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines ● Analytical problem-solving mindset ● Organized and self-motivated Salary $27.00
