$31–35/hour DOEPosition OverviewA growing manufacturer serving the oil & gas industry is seeking an experienced Assembly Lead to oversee the assembly of air-cooled heat exchangers, pressure vessel components, and related industrial equipment.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating assembly personnel while actively supporting the build process. The ideal candidate has previous experience assembling complex engineered equipment, excels at reading blueprints and bills of material, and can lead a team in a fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead daily assembly operations while working alongside the production team.
  • Assemble air-cooled heat exchangers and related mechanical equipment from engineering drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Coordinate manpower and production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Verify assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Train and mentor assembly personnel on procedures, safety, and workmanship expectations.
  • Coordinate with fabrication, machining, and welding departments throughout the build process.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Promote accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience in industrial equipment assembly required.
  • Experience assembling heat exchangers, pressure vessels, process equipment, large industrial machinery, skids, compressors, turbines, pumps, or similar engineered products strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and rigging equipment.
  • Experience coordinating production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Stable work history with dependable attendance.
