Job Description
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in residential apartment units and common areas. This position ensures that all property facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained while providing excellent customer service to residents. Key Responsibilities
Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner
Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
Prepare vacant units for occupancy (turnovers/make-readies)
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues
Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors as needed
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours if required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
1–3 years of maintenance experience (apartment or residential preferred)
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
EPA Certification (preferred for HVAC work)
Valid driver’s license (if required for property needs)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
