Job Description
Weld Job Description Position Title: Welder Department: Weld Shop Reports to: Weld Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Create quality welds according to blueprints. • Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting parts. • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner. • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature. • Must be able to weld components in flat, overhead, or vertical positions. • Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products. • Administer all welding activities such as riveting and welding small parts and finished products. • Assemble old units and perform modification and repair work if required. Skills and Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED required. • A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred. • A minimum of two years of experience as a welder is required. • Ability to read and interrupt blueprints and designs. • Aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing experience a plus. • ISO 9001 training is a plus.
