Receiving Clerk Job Description Position Title: QC Inspector Department: Machine Shop Reports to: Machine Shop Supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities: None Purpose of Position: The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that every product passes the necessary tests and will monitor the quality of all material. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards • Create tests for quality control of products • Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually • Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications • Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards • Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives • Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions • Write reports to document tolerances and errors of products Qualifications: • High school diploma required • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) certification preferred • Working in a shop environment • Forklift experience is a plus • Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards • Good knowledge about industry products and processes • Basic mathematical arithmetic • Excellent oral and communication skills • Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision Preferred Competencies: • Attention to Detail – Job requires the utmost accuracy in receiving and inventory control measures. • Cooperation — Job requires a cooperative attitude. • Information Gathering - Ability to identify and obtain information needed to clarify a situation. • Organizing – Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines necessary resources requirements. • Exceptional – This position will hold a high standard of integrity for themselves and the company. • Blue Print reading and GD&T tolerances. • Self Starter Receiving Clerk Job Description NOTE: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
