Job Description
Position Title:Grinder Department:Grind ShopReports to:Grind Shop Supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities: None Purpose of Position:The Grinder is responsible for Perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
Select and mount grinding pads on hand grinders, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.
Fill in cracks and blemishes with bondo.
Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and keeping trash picked up.
Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be helpful.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Stamina — Ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.
