We are looking for a Paralegal for a law firm located in Monmouth Junction, NJ. The ideal candidate must be organized and proactive, with previous experience in family law, civil litigation, and landlord-tenant matters. Requirements of the Paralegal:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a litigation paralegal in NJ.
Strong knowledge of New Jersey Court Rules and procedure.
Proficiency in eCourts, JEDS, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with family law case management, CIS preparation, and landlord-tenant filings is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation to assist with court filings or errands when needed.
Benefits of the Paralegal:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
Pay rate $45K-60K yearly based on experience.
Medical/ Dental/ Vision.
Responsibilities of the Paralegal:
Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, certifications, answers, and discovery.
Prepare and organize discovery responses(interrogatories, document production, etc).
Assist with trial prep, exhibit binders, case outlines, and deposition summaries.
Mange client filings through NJ eCourts and JEDS.
Maintain client files, calendar deadlines, and track court appearances.
Communicate with clients, courts, process servers, and opposing counsel.
Prepare retainer agreements, billing summaries, and internal file updates.
Conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
